Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Porch, operated by Xavier Bernard in Florida, USA. By using the Porch app or this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Porch.
Beta software
Porch is in a private beta. Features may change, break or disappear, and we may reset beta data with notice. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Sign in only with a phone number you own or are allowed to use.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at hello@porchapp.rsvp if you think someone else has accessed it.
Text messages
When you request a sign-in code, you agree to receive one SMS per request at the number you entered. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Full details are in our SMS Terms.
Your content
You own what you write in Porch. You give us permission to store it and show it to the members of the circle you posted it in, only so we can run the service. We don't use your content for advertising.
Be decent
Porch is for friends. Don't use it to:
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, including the person a round is about;
- post someone else's private information without their permission;
- post illegal content or sexual content involving minors;
- spam, scrape, reverse engineer or overload the service;
- impersonate someone else.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Ending your account
You can stop using Porch and ask us to delete your account at any time (see Support). We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we shut the service down. We'll give reasonable notice before a shutdown when we can.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Porch and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell users in the app. Continuing to use Porch after a change means you accept it.
